Do you believe in miracles? If not, I’m here to change your mind. Miracles are a power beyond imagination. They are life-altering moments you cannot see coming. And neither did I.
December 17th, 2017 11:40 p.m. My brother was walking home from Waterside to Seafront (on Meyer road). The signal turned green for him, and he started walking. 20 seconds later he was on the road with his head bleeding. A car had hit him while taking a right turn, and he flew in the air, finally landing on the car. When he landed, he broke the windscreen. As the car stopped, my brother fell off the car and rolled down onto the road. Miraculously, he was still conscious after this accident and called my parents. My mom and dad took some time to understand the severity of this accident. I thought he was joking, and he could just walk home, where we could give him some medicines. But my parents rushed to the signal as fast as they could. Would you believe that an ambulance was passing by at the same time and the same location of my brother’s accident and reached before my mom and dad could? Neither did I. In less than 30 minutes of the accident they were in the hospital. My brother had an enormous bump on his head. Once all the checkups were done, my brother was in and out of the hospital within 12 hours. This is the power of a miracle.
Not all miracles are big, some can be the smallest of things which we don’t see coming…
I had gone to Vrindavan, the biggest, holiest place in India, on an auspicious day. We were on our way to one of the temples, and we reached there at 3:50 p.m. The temple was supposed to be open at 4 p.m. There were thousands of people outside, waiting for the temple to open. I am a bit claustrophobic and I found it hard to breathe at that time. My parents were scared and did not know what to do. Leaving the place was almost impossible; we couldn’t go back or move forward. In this situation, we had nothing to do. We were helpless. It felt as if I was running out of oxygen and my mouth was drying up. Then suddenly a man came up to me and told me to pray, asking me to be brave and come with him, saying that he would take me inside the temple. It took me time to trust him. Obviously, I wouldn’t usually just go with a stranger like this. Eventually, he held my hand and took me inside; the journey inside the temple was hassle-free. I was grateful for what he did. Inside I met my parents and told them how helpful he was. After this, he was never to be seen again. Few may call this a coincidence, while others may call it a miracle.

Another story of a miracle is that of a woman known as Anita Moorjani. She has a book by the name “Dying To Be Me” where she explains her miracle. She was born in Singapore, has Indian parents and moved to Hong Kong when she was 2. Anita was diagnosed with cancer in 2002. On February 2nd, 2006 her family was told that this would be her last day. She was around 47 years old when this happened. Anita had gone into a coma and her organs had shut down. But even after being in a coma, Anita was aware of everything around her. Anita could hear and see people who were not only inside the room but outside as well. She could see her brother who was in India while she was in Hong Kong. She could also see her father and her best friend who were dead. Her father was communicating with her and was telling her to go back to her body. He also told her to live life fearlessly. In the next instant, Anita woke up from her coma. Doctors could not believe it and still thought her chances of survival were very low. Within five days, the tumors of her bodies had shrunk by 70%. After five weeks she was completely cancer-free and was released from the hospital. She is still living happily and says that this experience has taught her a lot. After seeing the book and reading about her on the internet, I was shocked. This is when I learned the power of a miracle!
In conclusion, here is a quote,
“Miracles happen every day, change your perception of what a miracle is and you’ll see them all around you.”
