April Edition – The Circle of Life

Photojournalists Note – Tanisha Jhaveri & Manya Srivastava

The photographs in this edition of the Casual Observer focus on the theme of “The Circle of Life”, be it the distinction between the old and the young in our community, the phases of the moon or the ultimate end of life on this planet.

Taking photos for this edition forced us to tune our way of thought. Our journey began as we attempted to decide which exact aspects of life were worth capturing, following that thought process, we made a menial attempt of actually googling the definition of life. One of the definitions for life is “the existence of an individual human being or animal.” We believe everyone reading this would agree with us when we say that it fails to capture the essence of life. Sometimes even the perfectly drafted piece of writing is incapable of elucidating what it truly is. Life is beautifully curated with moments that are capable of expressing the myriads of feelings we possess. In this edition, we attempted to tap into those feelings of yours. We hope that each moment captured bears the ability to make you feel a certain way whether it’s tranquility, joy, fear or even confidence because at the end of the day our emotions are what make life worth living till the end.
