The simple act of going out of our way and being kind typically causes a warmth to settle in our hearts. This inherent power of kindness uplifts not only ourselves but also strengthens the bonds that connect us. Yet, amidst the daily rush, we often neglect its importance, forgetting that even small acts of kindness can have a profound impact.
For instance, I helped out an old lady on the train who looked a bit lost. I guided her through the train station and even suggested a route she could take to reach her home safely! Even in our hectic lives, moments like these deserve their own uncalled time. I was also in a rush that evening, but I decided to help her out because it seemed like the right thing to do. I believe we should take just 2-3 minutes from our day to do something kind, from helping the homeless to greeting strangers.

Although these acts of kindness may seem simple at face value, they are the fundamental pillars that hold all humans together, allowing us to form bonds amongst ourselves. You may have experienced this, that one day you greeted someone and had a small talk with them, which eventually led to you making a new friend.
We never know what someone might be going through, so even small actions like greeting them can significantly uplift their mood, and yours as well. So if such an effortless action can do so much, then why do we not do this more often?
An act of kindness can be done by anyone no matter their age, gender or ethnicity. After all, what goes around, comes around! A common example of this occurs as we help our classmates with their tasks, and when you need a favour, many readily offer their assistance in return. These kinds of small actions serve as a reminder that within the complex severity of human feelings, kindness still exists and takes place.
After writing this article, I feel more motivated to do simple acts of kindness and hopefully manage to make you also go out of your way to do something kind. Coincidentally this article will be published during the kindness month, so this is your reminder to be kind to others no matter what!
