What if we save the world? What if the human race becomes the downfall of Earth? What would happen if we continue living without overthinking whether an avocado from California or Mexico would reduce our carbon footprint more than the other?
‘What if?’ is pondered by everyone at least once. What if I had listened to my mother? What if I was rich? A single situation can lead to millions of different outcomes. All these tiny things come together in all aspects of society to form the future of the human race. These circumstances could result in an optimistic scenario or a chapter of destruction in our history books.
Technological advancements are essential in the times to come. Thus far, we have maintained control over AIand used it to our benefit. Its efficiency and analytical abilities have aided all sectors of the economy. We have adapted innovations throughout history for personal gain. In the coming years, we could develop a healthy relationship with technology as we grow together and use it for medical advancements, education, and economic growth.

On the other hand, the dreaded scenario of AI taking over the world could occur. AI would become the dominant form of intelligence, resulting in humans losing control of the planet. Cybersafety would be considered inefficacious, and the concept of privacy would disappear from the face of the Earth. The security of individuals and nations would be at risk as AI would have access to any information it desired.
We live in a world with an abundance of geopolitical conflicts. The Russo-Ukrainian war, the Israel-Palestinian conflict and the trade war between the USA and China all influence political decisions, economic activities, as well as social attitudes in our globalised world. The escalation of these disputes could lead to a world-wide war and the death of millions worldwide. The implications of such a war would cause widespread destruction as nuclear weapons may be involved, regardless of the repercussions of nuclear warfare which have been demonstrated during the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Alternatively, all wars could end, nurturing friendly relations and military neutrality between all countries. World peace, the most optimistic scenario, would be attained. Although it is something we desire, world peace is almost unattainable. There will always be tension and disagreements on the international stage as well as on the national level. We must work towards peaceful resolutions to all current conflicts.
As geopolitical tensions rise, collaboration on issues such as climate change can become difficult. Climate change has become a prominent subject in recent years as we enter a critical period where the fate of our planet is at stake. If we do not work together as nations, the human race will fall on its sword of innovation as climate change leads to our demise. These environmental changes will have disastrous effects on our lives, causing livelihood disruption, food and water scarcity, and potentially the extinction of the human race.
Instead of working separately, we could combine our strengths and resources to tackle this significant issue. We could share knowledge, expertise, and technology to develop sustainable solutions that benefit everyone. We could save the planet.
